Services
I believe that healing begins when a person feels truly heard and understood. Mental health care should never be rushed or reduced to simply prescribing medication. My approach focuses on understanding the whole person their experiences, their environment, their values, and the story behind their symptoms.
I also believe that lasting improvement happens when we look beyond symptoms and address the deeper roots of emotional distress. Treatment may include medication when appropriate, but healing often involves lifestyle changes, emotional support, and restoring hope that may have been lost during difficult periods of life.
My goal is to create a space where patients feel safe, supported, and empowered to move forward.
Conditions I Treat
Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or alone in what they are going through. They may have tried other providers and felt rushed, unheard, or misunderstood. My practice focuses on helping individuals who are ready to explore the deeper causes of their struggles and begin moving toward meaningful healing.
I commonly work with patients experiencing:
• Depression
Persistent sadness, loss of motivation, fatigue, feelings of hopelessness, or difficulty finding joy in daily life.
• Anxiety Disorders
Constant worry, racing thoughts, panic, difficulty relaxing, or feeling on edge most of the time.
• Post-Traumatic Stress (PTSD)
Lingering effects of past trauma including intrusive memories, emotional distress, hypervigilance, and difficulty feeling safe or grounded.
• Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Difficulty focusing, disorganization, restlessness, impulsivity, and challenges with attention or productivity.
• Trauma-Related Pain & Overwhelm
Including individuals who experienced childhood adversity, unstable environments, or long-standing emotional stress that continues to affect their adult lives.
While these are some of the most common conditions I treat, my primary focus is not the diagnosis itself but the individual experience behind it.
Treatment Approaches
I use a combination of evidence-based psychiatric care and holistic approaches to create personalized treatment plans for each patient. Every person’s path to healing is different, so treatment is tailored to your needs, values, and goals.
Medication can be an important tool in treating certain mental health conditions. When medications are appropriate, I carefully evaluate your symptoms, medical history, and goals before recommending a treatment plan. My goal is to use medication thoughtfully and responsibly, adjusting treatment based on how you respond and ensuring you understand the purpose and effects of each medication.
Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management
Medication alone rarely addresses the root causes of emotional distress. Through psychotherapy, we explore the experiences, thought patterns, and emotional challenges that contribute to your current symptoms. This process helps uncover deeper issues and allows you to develop healthier ways of coping and moving forward.
Psychotherapy (Talk Therapy)
In some cases, physical health conditions or biological factors may contribute to mental health symptoms. When appropriate, laboratory testing can help identify underlying medical issues that may be affecting mood, energy, sleep, or overall well-being.
Laboratory Testing
Some patients prefer natural or complementary approaches to support their mental health. When appropriate, we may explore evidence-based nutraceuticals and supplements that can support mood, sleep, and stress regulation. These options can be used alone or alongside traditional treatment depending on your preferences and needs.
Nutraceutical and Supplement Support
I often explain to patients that medications are like the walls of a house, but lifestyle habits are the foundation. Without a strong foundation, the structure cannot stand. Sleep habits, nutrition, substance use, stress management, and daily routines can significantly affect mental health. Addressing these foundational factors can strengthen the effectiveness of other treatments and improve long-term outcomes.
